What I do
As part of the Operations and Marketing team at Finspective, my main role is to help our team manage their time, communications and business strategies, so they can do what they do best – provide great financial outcomes for our clients.
I do this by saving them time and managing the day-to-day operations that go on behind the scenes of every successful business.
IT, Security, Client Communications, Operations, Marketing, Design, HR, Reporting, Bookkeeping, Events… these are just a few of the hats I wear to do my part for the Finspective team.
Why I do this
I’ve always been someone that enjoys helping others. I also like learning new things. ‘Knowledge is key’, as they say.
The operational side of me comes from my background as a graphic designer. While you may think that design has very little to do with operations or anything else of that matter, the fundamentals are the same.
It all comes down to problem-solving and good communication. I like to approach every task with an understanding of what I am trying to achieve and break it down into a strategy with a clear outcome.
Who I am
I’d say I’m someone that likes the simple things in life.
A quote I once heard that became an adaptation to my life was, ‘Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away’ – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
These days, good times tend to be accompanied by good food, good people and good memories. The simpler, the better. Probably the reason I love living in Melbourne so much.
When I do get a little adventurous, travelling and discovering the world is my joy.
I’d love to get back overseas with my wife, where we can experience new cultures and explore the amazing scenery the world has to offer. Throw in some sun, some nature or some snowboarding down a mountainside, and to me, that’s a pretty fantastic way to enjoy a day.
